From September 2009 the Longcroft Diploma Partnership will be leading on a new, exciting and innovative scheme for 14 to 19 year olds focusing on creative and media related subjects.
As part of a national strand of new diplomas, each focusing on a range of subject areas, it will prepare pupils and students for the wider world of work as never before. Alongside the diploma specialism, students will also gain a solid and fully-rounded education with English, Mathematics and Science still very much at the heart of the qualification. Additional focus will also be given to work-placed learning with specialist work placement opportunities and an emphasis on providing students with theoretical, creative and practical skills that are essential in any work-based environment.
The Creative and Media Diploma (CAM) will feature a whole range of specialist subject areas including art, graphic design, music, drama, dance, theatre studies, textiles, fashion, photography, interactive media, film, television and much more. In addition, students will also have the opportunity to learn within our partnership organisations of Hull University, Hull College, Bishop Burton College, East Riding College, Market Weighton School, Hornsea School and Language College and ERYC Adult Learning Services.
Please explore our website to find out more and keep coming back for updates. Additional details and more specific information about the diploma curriculum will be posted over the coming months.
